Wk # 52: HELLO WORLD!

HELLO FROM ARGENTINA!

I hope all is well where you are! I'm doing great out here in la gran misión Bahía Blanca! (: It has slowly turned into summer out here in the beautiful city of Tandil! It has felt so nice. We're just waiting on the OK from Presidente Cifuentes to take off the suit coats. (;

I want to share a scripture from Proverbs. It's found in chapter 16:9.

 "A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps."

Basically it's saying that we have to make our own decisions and after that, the Lord will guide our steps. This is something that I didn’t fully understand before. So many times I had asked for answers and waited for the Lord to show me my way! I didn’t understand that if the Lord showed me every step to take, my God given agency would be taken away. We are here on this earth to learn and progress. How can we possibly do that if we can’t act as our "Own Agents"? Sometimes we become frustrated and think that the Lord isn’t answering our prayers when in reality, His answer is, "You need to choose and only then will I guide you." When we act as our Own Agents, we seek progress. We evaluate, make goals, create a plan of action, execute the plan, and then evaluate again and begin the process again. Sometimes in this process, we are required to make tough decisions, but it is all for our good. Pray, plan, act. "Pray like it all depends on God and then work like it all depends on you."

I am so grateful for all of you and for the support I have felt. Thank you so much!!

Wk #51: A Bit of the Update to the Family

FAMILY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE EARTH!

I hope all is well and that you have all enjoyed the package that got to you!! (: I hope you all like the candy and stuff I put in there (: I'm also glad you guys enjoyed the time you spent with Elder Fallentine! He's a great guy! I hope he told you the story of when we thought somebody was in our apartment. That's a funny story (;

This week was crazy! We worked so hard, got super discouraged because we were getting rejected so much, and then at the last moment saw some incredible blessings! Here is one of the blessings we saw:

1. We were contacting door to door and a guy opened the door and asked us how much time he would have to take out of his life to listen to our message and we said, "15 minutes!" and he said, "come in." We taught him and it was an AWESOME spiritual experience! We have another appointment with him on Wednesday (:

Prayer, hard work, diligence, tears and faith are the recipe to miracles. I saw that in full this week.

I LOVE YOU ALL!

Wk# 50: HELLO WORLD!

Hello everybody! It's rainy and cold here in Argentina and there's a street dog inside the internet cafe begging me for a bite of my donut. I will not give him a bite because I think it has fleas.

I have a quick story for you all.

We have been working with our Ward mission leader's sister trying to get her to accept the gospel and be baptized this month. She has been SO CLOSE the whole time, but she just was lacking the answer from Heavenly Father about the church. Well, last Sunday we had a lesson with her and her brother said, "Tell them about your answer." And she started to cry very hard. She explained to us that she had a dream that she was surrounded by her family and then Christ came to here and gave her the scripture Galatians 1:11. She woke up and went right to that scripture and read, "But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man." She is now working to prepare for baptism!! What a miracle. Ask and ye shall receive.

I am doing super well. I love it here and I'm so happy. Thank you for the prayers and the support!! I love you all!!
